The Prime Minister visits Truro

On the 9th July Sarah Newton M.P. welcomed Prime Minister David Cameron to Truro.

At the meeting in Truro City Council Chamber he talked with local business, public sector and third sector leaders. The issues and opportunities were discussed at length. Sarah was joined by the MPs for St Ives, St Austell& Newquay, SE Cornwall and Camborne & Redruth.
Later that day Mr Cameron hosted a ‘PM Direct’ event in Newquay where he declared that:
‘Cornwall is a special place. But in the past not enough politicians visited and talked to people here. Instead they issued diktats from London. I'm making an effort to change that. To make sure the Cornish voice is heard, to set Cornwall free, to do what's best for Cornwall.’
